Dolphins, Whales and Oceans

“All our cetacean friends are here to share their advanced consciousness, love and wisdom with us.”

Dolphins, Whales and Oceans Under Threat

Our oceans—and the whales and dolphins that call them home—are under growing threat from a complex mix of pressures. The most critical issues include ocean warming, which disrupt marine ecosystems and food chains at a global scale.

Overfishing depletes essential prey species, leaving many marine mammals starving or displaced. Increasing noise pollution from ships, industrial activity and naval sonar interferes with whales’ and dolphins’ ability to communicate, navigate and hunt.

  • Plastic and toxic chemical pollution cause severe health problems, while ship strikes lead to fatal injuries, especially for large whales. Ocean acidification weakens the base of the marine food web, and habitat destruction from coastal development further reduces safe spaces for these animals to thrive. Though illegal whaling and dolphin hunts are less widespread, they continue to cause devastating harm in some regions. Together, these threats create a dangerous and accelerating crisis for oceans and all marine life.

Many of these threats interact and compound each other. For instance, warming waters can make prey harder to find and force whales into high-traffic shipping lanes, increasing collision risk.

The Mystical Nature of Whales and Dolphins

Looked at from a mystical point of view, whales and dolphins, both members of the cetacean race are believed to have originated in the Sirian star system. They are characteristically highly intelligent and peaceful in their lifestyle and consciousness, and they carry the living records of perfect harmony and balance. They work to hold and stabilize the oceanic grids of the planet. Whales in particular hold an exceptionally powerful vibration of love in their expansive state of consciousness, which they emit into the waters of Mother Earth. All our cetacean friends are here to share their advanced consciousness, love and wisdom with us.

Here is a sample prayer to say inwardly or out loud, once a day or as frequently throughout the day as you feel guided. Feel free to modify the prayer. If you aren’t accustomed to praying, simply hold its intention in your heart and mind. Your prayer has a powerful effect. Joining in group prayer has an exponential effect:

A Prayer for Dolphins, Whales and Oceans

“I pray for the healing and well-being of our precious oceans
Including whales, dolphins and all marine life.
May all be honored as vital aspects of the web of life.
May dolphins’ and whales’ love, wisdom and service to Earth flourish and be recognized.

May all marine life be held safely in clean, pure, peaceful ocean waters.
My love, support and gratitude flow to all oceans and marine life.
May they feel and receive this.
I offer this prayer from my heart.
Thank you.
And so it is.”

Dearest Friends

I was deep in the Knysna, South Africa forest tracking wild elephants when the whale tragedy at Kommetjie happened yesterday, so I rushed back to Cape Town today and have just finished a long afternoon/evening at the beach. This is a summary of what the pod of 55 whales conveyed to me after I connected with the group:

The majority of the whales were sick and dying… as a result of swimming in some sort of chemical effluent in the ocean, to the northwest of Cape waters. This invisible toxic stream affected them internally in such a way as to cause slow die-off. With that their immune systems also crashed, making them very susceptible to and ill from parasitic infections. A few of them were physically fine, having withstood this – but they weren’t going to leave their family members. So they swam ashore with the dying ones. One for all.

They beached because they wanted to die.

  • They chose the Cape beach so as not to have to navigate the stormy, rough seas around Cape Point in their weakened state, and because they want humans to witness (the) whales’ dying. On the bigger/planetary level too. They said “the Mother” (the ocean) is being poisoned, and so are they. It’s time humans woke up to this and witnessed the effects.

They predicted that there will be more strandings in the next moon cycle (which I found interesting given that the International Whaling Commission sits again in the last week of June apparently.)

The whales appreciate the compassion and care that people showed in trying to return them to the water, but would have wished to be given the choice, i.e. pointed out to sea/re-floated once, and then left to die in peace if and when they returned.

Humans holding vigil for them with understanding would have been far better than the forceful, violent means ultimately used.

In between the above thought forms are the emotions and soulfulness of their consciousness that cannot be expressed in words by this mere human…

With honour and reverence for all whales,
    Anna Breytenbach
