Authentic abundance is not just having money and material possessions. It is also about having abundant love in our lives. Love and money are one and the same energy, and they come to us in great abundance when we peel away the limiting patterns of egoic programming and learn to live in the continuous flow of divine presence.

When we are able to bring that flow through us, it solidifies in the world around us into substance, including material things. Money is the visible sign of this universal energy. Because the outer world is just a mirror of our inner state, when we are all filled up inside, the outer world is all filled up, too. It is like a wellspring that bubbles up inside the body, like a wave that never ever stops or ends.

In this four-day retreat Leslie leads us on a voyage of discovery, focusing on two main aspects of opening to the flow: 1) exploring the new energy dynamic that is birthing in the world—that of abundant love, generosity and heart-centered consciousness, and 2) examining from a higher perspective some of the limiting patterns that block us from living a life of authentic abundance. With these two approaches, we learn how to open to the flow of divine presence.

Because this retreat was recorded live on audio tape in 1997, the sound quality varies from day to day. We have digitally re-mastered and improved the sound quality as much as possible throughout, and yet you may notice some sections are not as high quality as others due to the nature of the original recording. We have also edited the original recording to be as concise as possible, and so you may notice some sections in which the subject changes more abruptly than it would have in the original recording.

Leslie also led a retreat by the same title in Portland, Oregon in 1998. While the general theme is the same at both retreats, the information presented was quite different. There is some overlap, but to get all of the information we highly recommend listening to both CD sets.

When you give up projecting love out on something else, when you begin to find it inside of yourself, and when you begin to feel that flow as the essence moving through and supporting your life and your body and your presence in the world, you realize that love doesn't have to be for anything—love just is. You realize that you are love.”

“When you are in love—you know, those magical moments, like those first few weeks of being in love with someone, and it doesn't last very long. What has happened is that your heart has opened and you are in a divinely exalted state. You think it's the person who somehow does that to you because that person appears to fit your picture of perfection. What happens is that you open to the perfection inside of yourself. It's really yours. Most people project it out and say, “Oh, that person! I love that person.” But really, if you could not be attached to that person and not project and just be in that divinely illumined state, your heart is open and you're in the flow.”

“It is possible to shift your life by shifting your consciousness because your outer world is a reflection of your inner state of consciousness. So, you may think that you have a very good, clear inner state of consciousness, but if you see that there are things in your life that are not working perfectly, then there is consciousness in there that … is still imbalanced. You can see the state of your consciousness by looking at the state of your outer world. It's that direct a mirror. The outer is a perfect reflection of everything in the inner. That's really the good news because it's easier to shift your inner state than it is to go out there and change the outside world.”

“What happens when you decide to wake up, or when you decide to shift paradigms at least, you begin to realize that you have concepts about where the money comes from. In fact as you start moving into the flow, it can come from anywhere…. There's no knowing where it will come from, but Spirit will make the arrangements so that you are supported…. Because we believe that we have to support ourselves and that we have to be the ones who work and that everything rests on our shoulders, we deny Spirit the opportunity to help us and support us.”

“The problem is that the fear blocks the heart. When there's fear, the heart is shut down, and as soon as the heart shuts down, the flow shuts down, and you're in the polarized states. So, you won't get that open-ended support. The fear of the unknown will block the universal support because it's a denial of faith…. It's denying that there is universal support when you buy into the fear.”
