Leslie
Temple-Thurston
Leslie Temple-Thurston has been a teacher of enlightenment for over 20 years. She was born and raised in South Africa, graduated from the University of Witswatersrand in Johannesburg with a degree in fine arts and worked professionally as a painter and art teacher while in her twenties — expressions of a natural mystical inclination she had had since childhood. With a gift of clairaudience, she was urged by her inner guidance during the height of apartheid in the mid-1970s to emigrate to the United States with her family, including her two young children. There, she deepened her studies of mysticism and ancient wisdom through meditation, yogic teachings and spiritual psychology.
In the late 1980s after many years of practicing meditation and self-inquiry, Leslie experienced a complete dissolution of her old identity and a profound spiritual transformation and awakening. With this came the gift of being able to share with others a transmission of grace, unconditional love and healing energy, known in the East as shakti, which has uplifting, transformational and enduring effects.
Through the U.S.-based non-profit organization, CoreLight, Leslie works with spiritual seekers worldwide who are committed to transformation and egoic clearing. She helps people to become conscious of the luminous core of enlightenment that is within each one of us.
Leslie is the author of two books: The Marriage of Spirit—Enlightened Living in Today's World and Returning to Oneness—The Seven Keys of Ascension, which have been translated into many languages. Her extensive teachings are also available through her training courses and on numerous CDs, which are available in English and Portuguese (Brazilian).
Leslie is the founder of the humanitarian aid organization, Seeds of Light, whose mission is to assist with the awakening of the Global Heart, which she perceives to be the interconnectedness of all life through tolerance, forgiveness, love and compassion. Seeds of Light offers services to South Africa's AIDS orphans and marginalized communities, and helps preserve endangered species and ecosystems worldwide.
Leslie lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and in Limpopo Province, South Africa.
Leslie's books and audio recordings are available through CoreLight's webstore. We intend to offer audio downloads from this site in the near future.
